Our history

The building which Jagged Edge Salon is located, in Robson BC, has a rich and extensive history dating back to 1930's. This building is located across the street from the old Castlegar-Robson ferry landing, belonged to David and Rose Magee's business, sold to Ernest R. Reid whom in 1944 sold to Joe and Edna Marshall named as "Marshall's store". They sold in 1959 to Paul and Sheila Thederham who continued the business. They sold in 1967 and has been purchased as an established operating business to date. (Nesteroff, 2024). More recently, the location at Jagged Edge Salon has served the community as a hair businesses for over 20 years. Some time around early 2000's, Mark Morris owned and operated his business as a salon for more than a decade. He  moved away and sold the business to Laura Morrison in 2015 as Jagged Edge Salon. Her passion led a successful career as a hairstylist in Robson for another decade until the company was sold March 2025. Jagged Edge Salon is still embarking on this incredible journey, to provide hair services in this enriching and beloved community. We proudly continue to learn and grow as we provide exceptional hair services to those in Robson and beyond!
